Temple Shalom, home of the New Jewish Congregation (NJC), is a friendly and caring group of people living in Central Florida. We welcome all who care to worship with us.
Our services are held every Friday at 7:30pm and the last Saturday of the month at 9:30am. We follow the Reform format, reading from the Gates of Prayer prayer book.
In addition to Friday night services, the Temple holds services for most Jewish holidays, including Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Succot, and others. During Passover, the Temple holds a congregational Passover Seder open to all who wish to attend. Click here to see the Jewish Holiday Calendar page to plan your holiday schedule.
Services are held at our new Temple building.
As of August 26, 2009, the Temple has over 530 members.
The Board of Directors meets on the last Thursday of the month at 3:30 at the Temple. All members are invited to attend and listen. However, if you wish to speak to the Board, you need to make an appointment. Please call Larry Wallace, 430-1224.
The Temple has an active Sisterhood and Brotherhood. Meeting times and other information about the Sisterhood and Brotherhood are shown on their individual web pages.
We look forward to welcoming you to Temple Shalom and your becoming part of our congregation family.
