Directions to Temple by Golf Cart

From the South- two ways to get to the cart gate

If coming up the Buena Vista Rec Trail make a left on to Parr Drive and go to Belvedere Blvd (Library will be on your left).  Make a right turn on the cart path, go through the tunnel and continue on the path past Crisper's.  The path will make a right turn just past the New Covenant United Methodist Church.  Proceed on the path until it turns on to the street which is Woodridge.  Continue on until you arrive at Davenport and turn left on to Davenport (there will be a postal station on the corner).  Proceed until Davenport T's with Auburndale and turn right on Auburndale.  Continue on Auburndale until just before it curves to the right and you will see a white post, turn left on cart path at the white post between two houses.  At the end of the very short cart path you will be on Addison. Proceed down Addison to the stop sign and turn left on to Talley Ridge.  Continue on Talley Ridge until you come to Sterling Street (you will pass Dixon and Galesburg before you reach Sterling and Talley Ridge will have curved to the right).  Once you pass Sterling you will come to two cart paths on your left.  Take the second one (the first takes you to a tee box on the Glenview Country Club).  Proceed left down the second cart path and you will come to a sign that says Temple Shalom and a gate.  There is a key pad at the gate.  Press 2. 5, 8, 0 and follow the path to the Temple.

Alternative Route from the South:

Take the Buena Vista Rec Trail north all the way to the golf cart roundabout where the BV Rec Trail and the CR 466 Rec Trail join.  Turn left at the roundabout and go through the tunnel that goes under CR 466.  Follow the rec trail to the first stop sign and make a hard right turn.  Follow the path around the tennis/pickle ball courts and you will come to a tunnel that goes under Buena Vista Blvd.  At the end of the tunnel turn right and proceed up the BV Rec Trail to Talley Ridge at the Glen Brook Gate.  Turn left on Talley Ridge.  Continue on Talley Ridge until you come to Sterling Street (you will pass Dixon and Galesburg before you reach Sterling and Talley Ridge will have curved to the right).  Once you pass Sterling you will come to two cart paths on your left.  Take the second one (the first takes you to a tee box on the Glenview Country Club).  Proceed left down the cart path and you will come to a sign the says Temple Shalom and a gate.  There is a key pad at the gate.  Press 2. 5, 8, 0 and follow the path to the Temple.

From the North

Go south on the Buena Vista Rec Trail to Talley Ridge at the Belle Air Gate.  Turn right on Talley Ridge and go till you pass Staunton.  Turn right on the first golf cart path past Staunton, that is the Temple Shalom path.  Proceed down the cart path and you will come to a sign that says Temple Shalom and a gate.  There is a key pad at the gate.  Press 2. 5, 8, 0 and follow the path to the Temple.

From the East (North Side)

Take the El Camino Real Rec Trail to the Buena Vista Rec Trail and go north to Talley Ridge at the Belle Air Gate.  Turn left on Talley Ridge and go till you pass Staunton.  Turn right on the first golf cart path past Staunton, that is the Temple Shalom path.  Proceed down the second cart path and you will come to a sign that says Temple Shalom and a gate.  There is a key pad at the gate.  Press 2. 5, 8, 0 and follow the path to the Temple.

From the East (South Side)

Take the 466 Rec Trail west till it joins the Buena Vista Rec Trail at the golf cart roundabout at Laurel Manor.  Go through the tunnel that goes under CR 466.  Follow the rec trail to the first stop sign and make a hard right turn.  Follow the path around the tennis/pickle ball courts and you will come to a tunnel that goes under Buena Vista Blvd.  At the end of the tunnel turn right and proceed up the BV Rec Trail to Talley Ridge at the Glenbrook Gate.  Turn left on Talley Ridge.  Continue on Talley Ridge until you come to Sterling Street (you will pass Dixon and Galesburg before you reach Sterling and Talley Ridge will have curved to the right).  Once you pass Sterling you will come to two cart paths on your left.  Take the second one (the first takes you to a tee box on the Glenview Country Club).  Proceed down the second cart path and you will come to a sign that says Temple Shalom and a gate.  There is a key pad at the gate.  Press 2. 5, 8, 0 and follow the path to the Temple.
