Volunteering is a Mitzvah so…Don't wait to be asked!
People volunteer for numerous reasons. Some because they want to do meaningful work, others want to give back to their community, or just because they believe in the worth of a group or cause. At Temple Shalom, we offer many volunteer opportunities, some are ongoing and some are just for a one-time event. Congregation committees, groups and organizations are always looking for volunteers with fresh ideas, talents and experience. Many of the volunteer positions do not require any special talents or skills. Sometimes it's just having someone there to say, "What can I do?"
Take time and help Temple Shalom to:
- Work toward a unified purpose for the long-term health and well being of our congregation.
- Work toward a spirit of collaboration to achieve continued visibility in the tri-county area.
- Work toward our continued membership growth.
- Work toward the continued success of our family.
Volunteering is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
- Call the Temple Shalom office at (352) 748-1800 and say, "I want to volunteer." Give them your name, phone number and email address (if you have one).
- Your request will distributed to committees, organizations, etc, in need of help and...
- Answer the phone call inviting you to join a group, committee or event.
